Rev. Dr. Tikeisha Harris

Rev. Dr. Tikeisha Harris serves as Executive Minister of Ministry Development at Real Power AME in Upper Marlboro, MD where she develops and implements systems for sustainable ministry growth. She also leads the Emerge young adult ministry at Real Power.

Her ministry focus is community engagement through partnerships with school districts, government agencies and service organizations. Rev. Harris believes that we do not wait for people to come into the church, instead go where the people are, meet their needs and let them experience God’s love in a lived message.

Rev. Harris also invests her talents and experience into taking advocacy for women and children beyond the church walls. She has been tapped as a subject matter expert on faith and women’s issues for radio shows and workshops. Her work led the African American Policy Forum—a leading US-based think tank and creator of the #SayHerName movement—to select Rev. Harris to testify in front of an elite panel of educators, administrators and thought leaders about Black girls’ under voiced needs in the education system.

Rev. Harris holds a B.A. in Sociology from Lincoln University, an M. Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in African Centered thought and Ministry as part of the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Scholars Cohort from McCormick Theological Seminary.

Rev. Dr. Tikeisha is also an author who has contributed to several publications. She is currently finishing up a devotional for women and was a contributor in a recently published book, Everybody Needs a Little TLC: 90 Days of Self-Awareness, Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence and Self-Worth.
